Hot water systems, installed and repaired
No hot water, or a unit on its last legs? We repair, replace and install gas, electric, solar and heat-pump systems — and help you pick the right one.
Repair it or replace it — the honest answer
When the hot water goes cold, the first question is whether to fix the existing unit or replace it. That comes down to the unit's age, the fault and what it costs to run. Most tanks last around ten to twelve years, so a leaking or failed unit near that age is usually better replaced than patched — but a younger unit with a blown element or thermostat is often a straightforward repair. We'll give you the honest call, with pricing for both.
If it's time for a new system, the choice between gas, electric, solar and heat-pump comes down to your household size, whether you have solar panels or a gas connection, and how much you want to spend running it. We supply and install all the major types and brands, size the unit to your household so you don't run out mid-shower, and fit a tempering valve so bathroom water is delivered at a safe temperature to code.
Hot water work we do

How a hot water job runs
- 1
Diagnose the fault
We check the unit, its age and the fault, then tell you whether a repair makes sense or whether replacement is the smarter spend.
- 2
Right-size the system
If you're replacing, we help you choose the fuel type and capacity to suit your household so it isn't undersized or over-spec'd.
- 3
Install & certify
The new unit is installed, the tempering valve fitted, and any gas work certified with a compliance certificate.
- 4
Test & tidy up
We test the temperature and flow, remove the old unit, and leave you with hot water and a clean site.
